Devoted mother and grandmother.
On September 30, 2022 at 0515 hours, Juana Diaz gained her heavenly wings. She was 79 years old when when she passed away at South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside NY, surrounded by her loving family. Juana Diaz was born on June 30, 1943 in Isabela Puerto Rico. She came to New York at the age of 3 with her parents Basilisa and Jose Arroyo. Her sisters, Anna Lydia, Frances, Lorraine, Aida, Pedro and Raymond. In 1961 she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn New York. Juana married Carlos Diaz on September 22, 1962. She was the best mommy in the United States of America to her children Virginia, Yvette, Diane and Carlos. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for Eddie, David, Steven, Gabriella, Carkos and Camrin. They were truly her world. She absolutely adored her great grandchildren Julius, Reese, Jadiel and Jonas. To know her was to love her. She was Juana aka Jenny aka “Sexy by Nature.” She was loving, caring, never turned her back on anyone, and helped everyone that needed her. Juana will be remembered for her strength. She was a breast and tongue cancer survivor. She fought with all her might and overcame both! Her sense of humor was infectious. She was always the life of the party. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She will be greatly missed by her loving children, family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Cecere Family Funeral Home 2283 Grand Ave. Baldwin, NY 11510.
