Laurie Norberg-Beck was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully on July 9, 2022 at age 65. She was born to Henry and Elizabeth Ludwig on January 31, 1957. Laurie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth, her son, Christopher and his wife Alana, her grandson Ness, and her sister Ellen Holland.

Laurie completed her Bachelor Degree in 1979 at New York University. After an impressive and fulfilling career of over 40 years of practicing Physical Therapy, she retired in her hometown of Baldwin, New York and enjoyed time with her family.

Being known as an avid animal lover, Laurie adopted an elephant named Khanyisa through an organization called HERD (Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development). HERD offers a safe haven for baby elephants from poachers in South Africa.
