Laila Kristensen (nee Olsen), 87, passed away at her home in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, May 15, 2021. She was a devoted mother to her son, Steven Alfred and a loving big sister to her brother, Ivar Olsen. We were so blessed to have this extraordinary woman in our lives. She was caring, courageous, honorable and wise. Her selfless, boundless love brought joy to our hearts and strength to our souls.
We remember her unfailing kindness; the wonderful meals she prepared; her innate decency and her thoughtful nature. We especially remember her glorious smile and heartwarming laugh. Oftentimes it would dispel the darkness in this troubled world. Though she is gone the memories of her profound love will endure and sustain us. We will always cherish those memories as we strive to honor her legacy.
