Carapella, Maria (nee Covino), of Baldwin. We lost our beloved Mother on January 7, 2021. We were blessed to have her in our lives to the age of 90 & 1/2. Prior to marriage, she was a seamstress & in addition to clothing, she made riding outfits for famous jockeys in the 1950's. She is survived by her husband John of 61 years. She was a loving Mom to three children: Domenic, Johnny and Maria, along with daughter-in-law Christine and Son-in-law Michael. She also had 7 beautiful granddaughters beginning with the oldest Jessica, Riannon and Chrissy Carapella; Julia, Gianna and Daniella Scheffler; and Lucia Grace Carapella. She was a lovely, humble and funny woman and a truly devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother and was the fabric of our family. She will be forever in our hearts and souls. She is in peace now, reunited in heaven with her parents and brothers, whom she missed terribly. She always told us to pray to our guardian angels and now she is our Angel. We miss you so, so much Mom, we love you and may God keep you forever.
