Smith, Richard “Ritter”, on December 31, 2018. Born, raised and resided in Baldwin for 82 years. He taught Physical Education, Driver’s Ed, Special Ed and coached for 32 years in the Baldwin School District. He was married to his High School sweetheart, Lynn Bartholomew for 59 years. Also survived by his loving daughters, Dr. Jennifer Smith and Amy Hayman RN, MLS (Gary). Loving grandfather of Kerri Lynn Hayman. He was surrounded by special nephews and nieces, friends and former students. We are all thankful for the special man he was. The family will receive friends Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Cecere Family Funeral Home 2283 Grand Ave. Baldwin, NY 11510. There will be a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 8 PM on Saturday. A celebration of life will be held at a future date TBA at the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwin.
