Condolences

Condolence From: E.Phillip and Linda Sebastian
Condolence: We were so shocked to hear about Dick’s death. What a dear friend. I spent many an hour with him at the funeral home, riding to the cemeteries, talking baseball, etc. I also know that I learned about funerals from my twenty-two years with Dick. I feel as if I have lost a best friend even though we hadn’t been in touch for some time. We send our love to Donna and to Kim, Erik, and Michael. Just know that down here in NC we are thinking about you and praying that God will comfort you during this time of incredible sadness.

Condolence From: Michael Pensa
Condolence: Thank you very much for your message and condolence Linda.
Hes up there smiling down on all of the memories he had with everyone and all of the positive messages that have poured out on his behalf regarding his passing. Dad made friends wherever he went and was just an all around likeable person with his infectious positivity and warmth. I miss him every day that passes and pray hes watching over me and my family moving. Even though he moved across the country he would say to me every day that he thinks about me every single day. I hope he knows I thought of him and still do every single day, the same.
Thank you again, and a major thanks to Michael Cecere for doing such an amazing job with everything. We sent dad off the way he would have wanted.
Warmest regards,
Michael Pensa

Condolence: I was so shocked to hear of Dicky’s death..it cut right to the core of me, and unfortunately so long after the fact of his death. Dicky, Jimmy Turco and I were the very best of friends all through high school . If I told you how much fun (read mischief) the three of us got into together, driving around through East Williston, Williston Park, Mineola always looking to pick up girls (not usually successful)….hanging out at Tal’s service station in East Williston……speeding out to Jones Beach and back at breakneck speeds in my white Pontiac convertible….Give me a break…how could Dicky not be on the planet anymore….We all had black slicked back hair with a curlicue at the forehead..we wore black pants with flecks of pink in the cloth and a pink seam running up the side…We were cool….I’ll miss you brother.

Condolence: I am sorry to hear this sad news. I knew Dick many years ago, as we went to grade school (Northside) and high school (Wheatley) together, and lived only a few blocks away from each other. Sad how we lose track of long time friends when we graduate, and geography takes its toll. I remember Dick as fun, helpful and amicable. A loss for all that knew him. My condolences to his family.

Condolence: I knew “Dicky” all through our years at The Wheatley School. I dated him briefly after we graduated. He was such a gentleman and had a keen sense of humor. Funny thing to say I guess but he always smelled so good! We’ll meet again when Time is ready. A big part of the memories of my high school life is lost with his passing. Prayers and condolences are sent to his family. He was very special but they already know that.

Condolence From: Annie Wilkinson Blachley (Gail Wilkinson)
Condolence: The skies of heaven are a much happier place now with Dickie there. He was a great friend and we shared so much laughter when we were in high school. When I think of him I remember his sparkling eyes, his tall energy, self-confidence, sense of humor–and most of all, his smile.
Smooth journeys to him.
